iPhone X cover lock

The cover lock functions are not clearly defined, for example cover lock stops hey Siri and WhatsApp incoming ring tone, also FaceTime incoming ring tone ? Normal screen lock allows these functions! How am I supposed to use the Apple folio cover on my iPhone X if it disables incoming ring tones?
