Question: what is amfid process on a OS High Sierra?

In searching for a way to remove Advanced Mac Cleaner I was led to my Activity Monitor which I am going through and am finding many acronym's which I am unfamiliar with. Amfid is one. What exactly is it and should I delete it?

I'm currently running version 10.13.3
