iPad does not start

So I have an iPad (just about 3 years old) which won’t start up, I take it to the Apple store, the tech tries to force start it with his laptop a couple times but is unsuccessful. His solution for me

1. Buy a new one

2. Use this as a PAPER WEIGHT

Seriously, for all the money Apple charges, why don’t they start putting an expiration date on the products!!!!! Very disappointed with the company, I’d expect a better response.

I have no idea what you mean by force starting the device with a computer, but I assume that you mean he tried to restore the device. If he was unable to do so, maybe the hardware is shot. It does happen you know. Any manufactured product can go bad. It doesn’t matter who the company is that made it or how expensive the device was to purchase.

Did he really suggest that you use the device as a paperweight? If you feel like you didn’t get what you expected from this Apple Store, try another one and see if you get the same results.

Yes, those were the exact words “PAPER WEIGHT”!!! Shocking that I’m expected to use a $300 paper weight and shell out another $429 to buy a product which will be a paper weight in 2-3 years. What I gather is that Apple is unable to fix their issues, because I was told that the iPad cannot be repaired. If that is the case, I feel terrible about being an Apple loyalist!!! Also I do not have the time to go store to store, I’m not expecting much when I ask for better customer ser
