So Im running my iPad on iOS 9.35 and I've read here that I can't update to 10
my question is how can I download new apps (just trying to download the kindle app), however it says it will only run with iOS 10 that I can't update to!

You are stuck. The device cannot run the newer iOS which demands more processor and ram power than you have.
So that app cannot be updated until you choose to purchase a newer device that can run a newer iOS
I don’t know which model you have but the models that max out at 9.3.5 are older.

Sometimes if you use iTunes to install apps and try to download the apps through iTunes, if the older version is available it will download it and install it.

Dam, I don't have many apps on it so on trying to install the app for the first time so as you said I basically can't install or run them on that device? It's basically an expensive paper weight
