Macbook air will not let me change my ID

I've changed my ID with my new email address on all my devices, but my MacBook Air keeps showing my old email address as my ID. I've tried changing it, but it won'd accept any changes. It keeps saying my password is wrong. Also the photos on iCloud don't download because of the id discrepancy.
