How can I check phone is genuine or not?

If your iPhone connects to iTunes and can download and run apps, its safe to say its genuine.. Although every genuine phone has its own unique 15 digit number called the IMEI number that you should always check it before buying. This number can tell you not only if its real but (if it were a used phone) if it were stolen or blocked to a specific carrier, etc, etc.

You can also google 'IMEI check' and there will be many websites that you can choose from.
