Select the images you no longer want, and either drag the images to the trash can or press 'control' and click on the images at the same time and select 'move to trash'. 🙂

quickly remove screenshots from desktop I just did the most recent update and when my MacBook Pro restarted, every single screenshot I have ever taken appeared on my home screen.
