forwarding messages in Messages?

I am on a Mac. Many correspondents are on iPhones. Their texts appear in my Messages application. If I want to send one correspondent's text to another correspondent, I can do a copy and paste. But forwarding in email is easier. Does the Messages application in OSX have a similar forwarding function? I have not found it.
