Biometric systems are already used to secure many locations. However, fingerprint, iris and retina scanning are more secure than facial ID. Retrofitting buildings with biometric security systems is bound to be expensive. And, as kb1951 points out, they don't check for weapons. For that, you need metal detectors. Many school shootings (and workplace shootings) have been carried out by people who legitimate access to the buildings.


Elon Musk makes vehicles and batteries. I'm not sure what he would have to do with this.
