Mac Mail Rules - Perform the Following Actions

When I try to review some of my existing rules, I cannot see the contents within the "Perform the Following Actions" box. It appears as a thin gray line and won't expand.

Why is this happening? Do I need to delete those old rules and start new ones? Is there a limit to how many rules you can implement?

Mac Mail New Rules not working I have been using rules to filter mail for years and they have worked fine. Recently new rules I create do not work, or they work briefly then stop. For example one new rule searches for a string in the subject line then moves the email to a dedicated folder. (These are usually rules I use to put listserv conversations in dedicated folders.) I have a number of older rules just like that one--moving to various folders-- they work fine, but the new rules don't. I've tried these things that don't help: Quitting mail and restarting in safe mode Selecting all the messages I've received in the last month then choosing "apply rules" to that subset Deleting the rule and starting fresh Deleting some old rules I don't need anymore in case having too many rules was the problem Note, my older rules are all working fine; it's the new ones that don't fly.

Mac Mail rules not working Hello, I have set up quite a few rules that have just stopped working. When I went to investigate I noticed that there were quite a few that had disappeared. I have been using rules in my mail for MANY years, so it is not that I do not know how to set them up. It appears that this happened after I upgraded to Catalina a few months ago. I just cannot figure out how to get them to work. I have created new rules (mostly to move messages to a folder and out of my inbox) and it does not Apply rules to current messages to inbox or when they arrive. Any insight or help would be great.

Mail rules not working on macOs big sur 11.6.4 HI, I cannot get mail rules to run on MacOs Big Sur 11.6.4. I have tried creating a new rule and then clicking on 'apply'., absolutely nothing happens. I have rebooted then tried amending an existing rue and clicking 'apply', again nothing happens. Over the years, I have created dozens of rules to auto-file, delete etc based on the sending e-mail address and date sent but nothing now appears to be functioning. I don't know of any way to 'force' rules action without changing / creating a rule. Can anyone please help ? Thanks in anticipation
