They all dropped connection at 5pm NZ standard time

Also try turning off Bluetooth.
If your Wi-Fi source is capable of generating a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, try that to help avoid conflicts with Bluetooth.
No, I thought this as well but it all seemed to happen when I turned on imessage on to send a text pic, I contacted the landlord and they have changed nothing at all and all there devices are connected and running smoothly.
It would be really rare that when all of your devices require a "new" pin that it isn't the wireless router that had not been reconfigured.
I suggest that you take one of your portable devices over to your landlord's place and try connecting there. My guess is that it still won't work.

A "pin" would be requested if the wireless router is configured to use WPS for wireless security. This is different than wireless networks secured by WPA/WPA2. A WPS-secured network would require entering a pin number to access the network.
What are the models of each of your Apple devices?
It appears, based on your description, that your landlord may have changed the security type/password on their router. You should discuss this with your landlord.
