After Update of Adobe Acrobat Plugin PDF files always open in Acrobat. Assign PDF file type to Preview does not work. Preview is starting, but no PDF file will be opened. All other files png, tif etc. are opened by preview. Remove preview.plist and reboot does to help. Other users can open PDF files with preview.

I would uninstall the Adobe plugin.
With all the 3rd party software you are using, it is difficult to tell what may be causing the problem.
I would uninstall Bitdefender. It tends to interfere with the computer's operation while providing minimal to no benefit unless you work with Windows files.
After setting one PDF to Preview, did you click Change all?
Yes, and preview is starting, but it shows no pdf only png, tif etc. files
Have you tried disabling the plugin to see if that makes a difference?
All Adobe plugins removed from ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins and moved from /Library/Internet Plug-Ins to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Disabled Plug-Ins.
Have you restarted since removing them?
Yes. Another user on the same system does not have this problem. Is there any special cache file for preview?
