iTunes crashes with billing information verification

I am running Windows 10 and iTunes 12.1.2.27. All was well until a few weeks ago when iTunes wanted me to update/verify my billing information when I tried to make a purchase from the iTunes store. Every time I try to enter the 3-digit security code for my credit card iTunes crashes. I have updated my billing information on the Apple website, but it didn't fix the problem. I tried switching my billing over to Paypal, and iTunes crashed when I tried to enter the verification code it asked for. How do I resolve this problem?

Itunes Billing info Itunes continually requests that I verify Billing Information by clicking a link, but there is never any response to that link. I have also attempted to check my billing information using the "Manage Payments" link under the "Account" tab, but, again, Itunes does not respond to that link. Any suggestions?
