ios 11 music app no longer has skip song ability, only skip 30 seconds forward or backward

there used to be arrows that would allow you to skip the song, going to the next or previous song. now i only have the option to skip 30 seconds forward or backward within the playing song. what am i missing to get the ability to skip songs entirely?

these are songs synced from itunes

So it seems like there used to be a progress bar in Apple Music when songs were playing... allowing us to "drag" the button back and forth on the progress bar to hear certain parts of the song. I can find no way to do this now - except for in the lock screen, which is not only unintuitive, but impractical. Am I missing something? Randy

Missing features for music playback For a long time I’ve been having a bad experience while listening music on my phone. Even in iOS 15 there is still some extra features missing. For example if I want to skip a track or listen to a previous one again I have to take my device out of the pocket then unlock a screen and then skip or choose previous track to listen. It will be way better to get some button combinations to do it. But they ain’t there for whatever reason.

Prevent music from automatically playing next song When playing music on the iPad (or iPhone) using the music app, is there a way to prevent the next song in the list from playing when the currently playing song ends?
