CAN'T do a Group Text to Friends with iPhones and Androids Together.

I have an iPhone 6 and I CAN'T do a group text to people with iPhones and Androids together.
My friend has an iPhone and CAN send the group text to iPhone and Android users together. (I compared my settings to hers to match and my group text still would not get delivered.)

Read suggestions from an older post on this problem and they did not work. So I tried the following:

On my iPhone under Settings > Messages > I have Send as SMS turned ON.
Under SMS/MMS I have MMS Messaging turn ON.
Under Group Messaging: if I turn it ON then I get the Not Delivered on my text.

If I turn the Group Messaging OFF then the Group Text I send goes to each sender as a Individual Text.

I need to send and received in a group text so the group can see all responses.

Any Ideas on how to fix this problem? Thanks
