Question: How to create "table of contents" from text in a table created in pages

Hi,

Not sure if this has been addressed elsewhere... did my best to find similar question

I have created a table in pages (6.3). The table includes text that I wish to include in a "table of contents". The table goes over several pages and there are several headings I wish to include in one table. Is this possible?

I have attempted generating table of contents and included (ticked) used paragraph styles but I get the message "the table of contents is empty because you aren't using the paragraph styles set to appear in it".

Thanks.

Hi CP,

The TOC generator does not consider text that is in tables.

It considers only the main body text of a word processing document, and constructs the TOC from text to which the paragraph styles chosen in your for TOC inclusion when defining the TOC criteria.
