Calendar Event Keeps Alerting

I have a recurring calendar event that reoccurs every weekday, every week until June. The only notification alert that I've set for these is "1 hour before travel time".

The problem I am having is I keep getting a notification twice a day, for the next day. So for example, on Monday, right before the event time, I get a notification for the Tuesday event. This keeps going on and I can't find out why. I've even checked the default alert settings in iOS settings and those are off. How do I fix this alert issue?

Calendar alerts Since the most recent update my calendar no longer alerts me of upcoming events. What can I do to fix this?

Calendar alerts When I set an alert in calendar, it switches them. For example, if you set the first alert to 1 hour before, then set second alert to 10 minutes before, it switches the first alert to 10 minutes before and the second alert becomes 1 hour before. I can see from previous posts on here that this has been an issue for many years. It’s about time apple fixed it.😡
