I bought the apple leather case and a rubber case. They both peeled and have gotten to the point where I cannot use them. I was told I would get a reimbursement if this happened

sounds like you need to either take it back to the apple store if that's where you purchased it or call 1-800-MY-APPLE if you purchased it online. This is just a user forum, not actually talking to Apple here.
