My Payment Method Isn’t Working

Hello!

So I am on my iPhone 7+ and I was using a Visa gift card that ran out of money. Therefore Apple would not allow me to update my apps, download free things, etc. So I proceeded to look up how to remove my payment method. I followed the steps and when I clicked “None” then “Save” it said “Invalid Payment Method”. But I don’t understand how it’s invalid if I chose none and removed the card itself.

Let me know if you know how to trouble-shoot this issue,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand from your post when selecting the payment option of None you're receiving the invalid payment method message.

Have a look at this article about not being able to choose none as the payment: If you can‘t choose None when you edit your Apple ID payment information
