Iphone 8 plus

My brand new iphone 8 plus (ios 11.2.6) locks out my ability to make phone calls, listen to CDs or the radio whenever my phone is using blue tooth. It does not matter if the phone is plugged in or in my purse. For example, if I am using WAZE for directions, my Nissan Rogue car screen freezes. I do receive incoming calls. I had no problem with the iphone 6 plus.

My iPhone SE has suddenly started to operate as though it is permanently locked and transfers all inward calls direct to my voice mail. How do I fix this? My iPhone SE has started to operate as though it is permanently locked in respect to incoming phone calls and messages with all calls being directed to my voice mail…..ie the phone does not ring or vibrate when a call is received.
