How Mid 2011 Macbook pro support resolution for 2560 x 1440

I bought a 32" IPS monitor with 2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz resolution. However by using a 4K adaptor cable I can not get a shart image from it.

The option for screen resolution is 1080P. The sharpness is ok, but not as good as from my 27" screen.

After I down down those screen resolution for 2560 x 1440. The image still not sharp.

Is any one having this same issues?

Should I get a 1440p monitor for my 16 inch MacBook Pro? When I tried plugging it in to my 1080p monitor, the text were jagged and blurry. After doing a bit of research I found out it was something regarding macOS poor support for 1080p screens, and that people usually go for the Ultrafine or 4k lineup. I tried everything to resolve it including font smoothing and force RGB mode. (I was using a usb c monitor) and the font still looks blurry. So I ended up refunding the monitor. 4k is a little bit above my budget, and I've heard few people have a similar issue even with a 1440p. monitor. Can anyone in a similar situation verify that a 1440p monitor is ideal? Thanks!

Can't get 1440 resolution on new monitor with macbook pro 2012 I have a macbook pro with a thunderbolt 2 port - just bought the Samsung Ultrawide CRG9 screen and I cannot find a cable that will give me the 1440 resolution and 120hz.. it’s only giving me the option of 1080 … it looks terrible… help

External Monitor -- 5120 x 2160 resolution lost after upgrade to Ventura Hi, I have just updated to Ventura from Monterey. My external monitor was working fine under Monterey with a 5120 x 2160 resolution. Now the maximum I can set the resolution to is: 3440 x 1440 (or 3840 x 2160, which is distorted). Any ideas, how to get the higher resolution back?
