mail not accepting new hotmail password

Hotmail required me to change a password after login on my laptop from Iceland vacation.

Now I cannot use the Mac mail program, because when I try to enter the new password it does not accept it.

Cannot seem to get this to work now ... I have to use hotmail from a safari browser now ( hope I don't have a big problem when i get home on my iMac )

My guess is that there is a conflict with keychain, but I cannot tell which keychain to delete

Any suggestions / solutions ?

cannot change password in Apple Mail for google mail on MacBook Air When trying to change password for gmail account in Apple Mail on MacBook Air, it attempts to open browser for google authentication, but does not go any further, browser never opens.

MacOS Mail is not recognizing Gmail password--how to fix? I have several gmail accounts. One of them is not being recognized by Mail-- I've confirmed via logging onto gmail that I have the correct password is (and the account works on other devices).
