how can I run the updates now?

I cannot run the updates of some Apps because my husband used his old Apple ID to download them. This old Apple ID is not in use anymore. However, when I try to start an update, it asks for a password of this old Apple ID

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID that was used to download/install them.

The only thing I can suggest is that you should delete them from your device, then downolad them back again using your new Apple ID.
