iPhone 7 Dropping Calls Intel Modem

I've done some research and it looks like the iPhone's with the Intel modem are poor performers. Is there a fix for this??

I've had multiple iPhones over the years and never had an issue talking in my house/car, except for a few known drop areas, but ever since I got my iPhone 7 I can't even make/take a call from inside my house! It's really frustrating because I'm constantly dropping calls, no matter where I am. AT&T has been no help, swapping it to data only for LTE helped slightly, but still dropping calls randomly. I unfortunately have the iPhone 7 A1778 (Intel Modem)

Any ideas or solutions from Apple on the poor modem?

I have an 8 Plus here in Canada with the Intel modem and I have not had any issues whatsoever. I'm going to say no for the fix, but you never know. And for all the problems you are describing, I don't have any of those.

I'll tell you this. I'm on Freedom Mobile in Canada. The Qualcomm version of the 8, 8 Plus and X do not switch back to LTE after a call (drops to 3G for that, since VoLTE is being implemented). We always thought it was Freedom monkeying around with the network (Band 66). However when those phones went on sale in Canada with the Intel modems, and people tested the 3G to LTE function after a call, it went back to LTE, within a reasonable time. On the Qualcomm versions either toggling airplane mode on and off or restarting the phone would camp it back to LTE. This conclusively proved Freedom was not monkeying around with the network and it was an issue with the Qualcomm modems themselves in the 8, 8 Plus and X in regards to Band 66.

My 6S Plus has the Qualcomm and has zero issues. But that's a CDMA/GSM phone.

Do you have the "No Service" issue? In any case, you might need to go to Apple.
