Old MacBook Air new OS Install

Hi All,

I have an old MacBook Air (that originally had OS X Yosemite) that has been erased and I want to install an OS X to use it. It comes with a recovery HD that I can't seem to make it work.

I am able to try to install Yosemite (by rebooting with Command+r), but after entering my AppleID credentials, I get an error saying: resource temporarily not available.

Any ideas on how I can install the original OS or any OS?

Cannot reinstall OS 10 on MacBook air I have a n older MacB Air that I have erased and am trying to reinstall OS X from the internet. From Disk Utility when I try to Reinstall OS X it opens Window to install Yosemite , after clicking continue I am told Apple will verify my computer’s eligibility...and then I get an error msg that a required download is missing. I have verified had and am told everything ok...how do I find what download I need and how to get it?

Install Mac OS Have a 2008-9 MacBook Pro, have recently upgraded to an Air, have wiped the drive but cannot re-install MAC OS. Previously had El Capitan as the OS. Tried all offered alternatives to no avail.
