Audio not working on Safari for nbc.com

How can the audio work when I access the nbc.com website via Safari, to watch shows? I have an iPhone 5s (Yup! Sure do; don't judge me) and I have iOS 11 however, there are no advanced settings that offer turning on/off any plug ins in Settings. This is a question that came up previously and that was the answer. Doesn't work working.
