Calendar with El Capitan 'loses' information

Calendar (I do NOT use Cloud or any other syncing) literally loses recent data. I watched the events just vanish! This has happened multiple times. Very irritating.

Can I install an older version (previous was 6.0 and it was very stable, did not erase/lose whatever my entries)? Or is there some way to stabilize the current version (8.0)

I use this to track my mothers doc appointments etc, so reliability is critical.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

Greetings screcat,

I see that your Calendar app keeps losing recent data, and you've seen the events disappear. I'm happy to help provide some assistance.

You mention that you aren't using iCloud, so I suggest testing this issue in another user account and safe mode. This is good software isolation troubleshooting that can isolate the issue from your main user account to the entire system, as well as see if there are any third-party software conflicts.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

Let me know how that goes and if you have any questions.

Sincerely.
