I have not changed any settings, but my new account I created on my iPhone 8 and my account with my partner on MacBook Pro 13 are both not sending emails unless we log onto the iCloud webpage and send from there. I have seen “check this” and “check that” but no explanation or actual fix. I checked the settings I should have and they look correct to me. How do I fix this app issue??

That’s the exact “check this” and “check that” details I looked at. Tried to contact Apple support and apparently my account does not get the support I require....how have my settings just changed without me doing something? I’m stuck with what to do to sort this.
And no this isn’t solved as it somehow says above.
