Can I open and edit Excel 2016 files in iBooks?
Can I open and edit Excel 2016 files in iBooks? I'm asking for a friend who is not technically savvy. If not, how else would I do this in the mac/iOS world?

Not iBooks. iBooks is not bookkeeping software, it's for reading electronic book format.
Numbers if you want Apple software, or something like LibreOffice or OpenOffice if you want free.
