Only the mail.app is affected - new Macbook Pro 2015 High Sierra 10.13.3

Appears to affect only one of two users.

When writing a new email, focus will jump from body text to another paragraph, subject, or receipients seemingly at random. The problem can replicated. Main user was migrated from Time Machine. A new "admin" user does not display the problem.
PRAM and SMC have not been reset. plists have not be deleted.

Hey there, David.

It appears that you have a user experiencing an issue while writing a new email in the Mail application on their MacBook Pro. The cursor keeps jumping to different areas of the email, and I'm happy to help.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac -- Reset the System Management Controller using the steps under "If the battery is nonremovable:" and test the issue.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac -- Test how it responds in safe mode. If there are no issues, reboot normally and test again in your own user account. Remember this when booting in safe mode: Limited graphics performance in OS X recovery or safe mode

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac -- If the issue is also happening in safe mode, create a new user account to test. Their email account(s) will need to be added for this user. This will demonstrate if the issue is isolated to the one account, or if it's system wide.

Let me know how that goes.

Take care!
