What to do when macOS could not be installed in computer and it reads that appears to be missing and damaged.

Not able to reinstall as Mac would not exit this advice; hence reinstall not possible. Genius Bar erased my drive and installed Sierra. Back up files reinstalled in Mac. When backup completed system reverted to earlier release. Appreciate your reply

I have the same issue after downloading high Sierra upgrade. mac is not functional.
What do you do when you get the screen that reads macOS could not be installed on your computer. And it wont go to any other screen?
