change genre of song / album in iTunes

- How to change the genre of a song / album in iTunes -

I couldn't find an answer & this was bugging me, and I really wanted an answer, so I'm posting my workaround. In previous iTunes it was easier (for me) to add a genre; seems harder now. Writing this in (hopefully) simple to understand steps that beginners can follow.

My process:

In Itunes, in a song or album, control + click to get a menu; select 'Get Info.'

Info on the song / album will come up.

Look at the 'genre ⬇︎' line with a pulldown menu.

Scroll down to a genre you don't use / care about.

Highlight that genre; erase it & type in a genre you want.

Click 'OK' & your song / genre should have the new genre you just made.

Hope this works for most people.
