Why is Apple Pay not letting me add my card?

I’m trying to set up Apple Pay but every time I enter my card details into the Apple Pay to add debit card it says my information is incorrect but I put in the exact same information that is on my debit card but it keeps giving me this notification. How do I fix this problem?

I suggest that you follow the instructions here, including checking that your address details fully match those on record with your card issuer:

If the issue persists, then I suggest that, in the first instance, you contact your card issuer for assistance.
