Touch bar ESC key configuration

Would it be possible to provide the update for ESC key in touch bar, to react on click only, not on accidentally laying finger there? Firmware and/or OSX update should be able to handle this? Or the configuration is already available?

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Esc key not working for normal cancel/escape functions?
