opening links from email in chrome

I am no longer able to open links from my email in google chrome. A new tab opens, but not the site. I have to cut/paste in order to get to the site. has anyone else had this problem? It has happened once before and seemed to resolve itself, but now the problem has continued. Not horrible, but a bit cumbersome!

Links in emails Clicking a link in email used to open the page in the browser, now only gives narrow sidebar. How do i get the link-to-browser page back again? It started recently with last update. I already looked in mail settings and didn’t see anything new.

Links from Mail won't open in Safari Quite often if I click on a link in an email from a mailing list, Safari says it can't find the server (see below). If I copy the link into Chrome it opens fine. Why?
