MacBook late2008 MagSafe charger glows green but laptop isn’t charged

It is possible that the battery wont take a charge anymore . If it is the original battery from 2008 then I would say you are long overdue for a replacement . It could also be in the charging circuit on the logic board or in the battery that has failed . There are several possibilities that it could be and without further information it would only be a guess with the most general diagnosis . You could take it to a Apple store or shop for diagnosis , if you had a spare battery you could see if swapping it out fixes the problem .
