How do I recover 'notes' that have disappeared after a recent apple update? Just to add, I didn't delete any notes. They just disappeared once the update was complete.

How can I recover 'notes' that disappeared after apple update? After updating on the weekend, all notes have disappeared from the application. I did try a few online suggestions (for example, settings, accounts & passwords, then I selected the e-mail account and toggled notes) but to no avail! Any help would be appreciated.

iPhone 7, iOS 11.2.6
