Conflict between Apps and Mail?

The Fitbit Connect app has disappeared from my MacBook Pro a couple of times. Each time I reinstall it, I start having problems with mail. I have two different mail accounts, one with Windstream and one with Gmail, and messages randomly bounce back as undeliverable that were sent from either account.

Anyone else have this problem, and any suggestions?
