My iMessage won't open on my Air

I had to restart my computer the other day and ever since my iMessage keeps saying there's an internal error and it needs to quit and it will re-open but it has not. I've restarted and shut down my computer multiple times, I've dragged it off the dock and tried to open it from the applications folder and all it will do is bounce. What should I do?

Messages app not opening After the latest Big Sur install (v 11.2.3 20D91) my messages app on my MBP M1 machine does not open. It bounces and after a few seconds the application is not responding and I have to force quit. The app never opens at all ("Messages" never appears next to the ). FaceTime is doing almost the same as well - this application does opens, but the beachball comes up and it goes to not responding. When I receive a call my computer keeps ringing even after I pick it up on my cell phone. Every-time. Very annoying. Restarted the computer numerous times, force quit the activity numerous times. Have not done a macOS reinstall yet. Any others having this issue? Any fixes?

Messages App and Monterey 12.0.1 After installed Monterey 12.0.1 on my MacBook Pro (15 inch, 2016 2.0 GHz Quad-Core Intel i7), Messages simply will not open. When I click on the icon, nothing happens for a few seconds until the crash report appears. I've restarted my system and that hasn't helped. Is there an easy fix?

Messages App continuously VERY slow to start and hangs throughout the session. MacBookPro M1, when I start messages app it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes to start. Then it will allow a few characters to be typed then get the "Spinning wheel" for 2-5 minutes, most times I will get the Application Hung error, send to Apple?. I always choose send. I have tried all of the remedies, short of re-installing the OS I cannot afford to take the chance of data loss, the most critical is I cannot take the time to do a fresh re-install. This just started happening in the past couple of months. No new software or hardware has been added, save Monterey OS updates. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.
