My IMac is failing at start and acting weird, so I want to have a clean install and maybe upgrade to high sierra, my question is can I keep all my softwares regardless of how they where installed, and have them migrated to the next OS? If so, how? Time machine...? Or am I going to re install everything from a scratch again?

Hey thank you very much for ttaking the time to respond, I am downloading the Etrecheck as I write this... Will post the log shortly... As an additional piece of info I can tell that I installed/uninstalled the K9 (http://www1.k9webprotection.com/) which resulted a pain in the... neck, but I reckon that where a lot of things started to go astray with my IMac.

You have Spigot adware. Uninstall this. I suggest you use Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes was developed by one of our own colleagues here in ASC and is about the most proven anti-malware software for Mac.
Uninstall Avast as per the developer's instructions. No Anti-Virus software or so-called “cleaning” apps are needed or recommended for Mac OS. They can conflict with Mac's own built-in security. At best they will slow your Mac by using unnecessary resources and at worst will bork your entire system.

It looks better, how is it running now?
The only issue I see is that GateKeeper has been disabled. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and choose to allow apps from App Store and Identified developers.
It seems is working better now! At least starting normal and faster so far... I guess I´ll know better in the next few days. But in any case thank you very much! 🙂

Also note the many 32-bit applications you have - they will no longer work if you upgrade your Mac OS as OS High Sierra no longer supports them.
If I upgrade to high sierra can I keep all my softwares after formatting?
