I upgraded on my Series 7 iphone to the 11.2.6 software.
After doing that I lost a TON of contacts. Some of them I can find again when I try to type a text message to Patti for example, but when I go into contacts to look for Patti, she isn't there.
Help!

You can restore your contacts and contact groups from an earlier version that was automatically archived in iCloud.
Go to Settings on iCloud.com, then click Restore Contacts (in the Advanced section).
Available versions are listed by the date and time they were archived.
To the right of the version you want to restore, click Restore.
There may be more versions than can be shown at once. Scroll to see more.
Note: Wait until iCloud finishes restoring your contacts before you change them. While it’s restoring them, any changes you make aren’t saved.
The restored contacts and contact groups appear on all your devices set up for iCloud Contacts.
If you change your mind, you can restore the contacts you were using. Just follow the steps above to restore the most recent version available.

I had updated to IOS 11.2.6 soon after it was released. But the contacts were present for a long time until today morning when many of them vanished.
i tried restoring as you mentioned above, but i dont still see the restored contacts. in fact, even in the icloud, the contacts are missing.
please help. This is making me crazy.
