I do not understand "from berkley iphone". Do you mean it says the iPhone is located in Berkley? (Berkley where?) Where are you located? You may have a feature activated where the iPhone is supposed to report its location to you and sometimes this can be confusing because it may report the location as the headquarters of the service provider which can be a long way away.

- Apple e-mails address you by your real name, not something like "Dear Customer" or "Dear Client".
- Apple e-mails originate from @apple.com or @itunes.com but I think it is possible to spoof a sender address
- Mouse over links to see if they direct to real Apple web sites.
