Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It's my understanding that you're unable to access the iPad because a different Apple ID is showing up for iCloud. This sounds like there's an Activation Lock on the iPad and I do have some suggestions that could help. This link has more information on Activation Lock: Find My iPhone Activation Lock

To help you find out that Apple ID use this link: If you forgot your Apple ID
