Is there a way to set the disc destination of the files created when using the FCP-X Voice Over tool?

Only by changing the library storage location before recording.

Where are voice recording files stored in Catalina? Transferring voice memos from iPhone to computer has been an issue for a while; seemingly, since iTunes -- later Music -- removed voice memos as a class of audio. There is, as least in Catalina, the Voice Memos app. Great, but for one key thing: Where are the files, as you might want to save them off somewhere and as a batch, not one by one? If they are buried in iCloud, or the iPhone, or the Mac, they must be somewhere.

How to save an audio file on external storage I recorded a phone interview with a client that I then uploaded to FCPX. I've spent hours cleaning up this audio and doing necessary edits and want to save these edits by creating a duplicate audio file that I can store on my external hard drive but have no idea how to quickly and easily do this. Any help is appreciated.

OK, thanks. I was hoping to set up a folder on a disk that would contain all the generated VO media during the recording process, I guess I'll have to export the clips after.
