All mailboxes & messages disappeared on Mac

I was attempting to delete one mailbox and all mailboxes appear to be deleted on my mac. I cannot find a way to 'undo' my last step. there is still a summary line at the top indicating # messages in inbox, etc. I've checked all drop downs for anything to restore visibility - most tasks are recessed and not available.

I'm afraid to 'quit' mail ... and risk losing mail altogether...

I'm hoping I'm missing an easy step/fix - thanks for any prompt help!

Loss of Mailboxes stored On My Mac I followed a thread on here to alphabetise my mailboxes in Mac Mail. I went to Library, Mail and removed 2 V files. Now it seems that all the mailboxes that were stopped 'On My Mac' have disappeared . Including some pretty vital stuff. This is completely my fault for messing with things above my knowledge but does anyone have any idea how I might possibly be able to recover them? I really need some of tis stuff. Thanks in advance

Mailbox Disappeared I was reading my mail when my mailboxes disappeared. The only folders I have left are "On My Mac" folders. I have tried to REBUILD, Restore from TimeCapsule, quit mail and open again, reboot. None of these worked. Any ideas ? Thanks
