My computer is only showing my daughters iPhone photos?!?

Hello all,

Here is the problem:

1. All the photos I had on my computer are gone.

2. The only pics left on my computer are those that are also on my daughters phone.

3. When I import a photo from my phone to my computer it shows up on my daughters phone.

Can someone please explain to me how to remedy this?

Thank you

You provide no details but as a wild guess you have multiple libraries - hold down teh option key while launching Photos adn use the resulting select library window to check each library on your system - I think you will find your photos (and you probably need to set the library with your photos as the system library in the Photos preferences ==> general)

Are your daughter and you using the same AppleID? is iCloud Photo Library enabled in Photos on your Macand on your iPhones?

Then the photos libraries on all your devices will be synced and kept identical. Your photos will sync to your daughter's iPhone, and she deletes them there, they will be deleted from all devices, not only from her iPhone.

Check the Settings for iCloud > Photos on all devices.

Is your daughter's phone an iPhone? This looks as if iCloud on your machine is logged into her Apple ID rather than yours? Another option is that her phone is logged into iCloud with your Apple ID and she has removed your photos by mistake.

I would check the iCloud accounts on both the machine and her phone. On your machine, go to Systems Preferences and click the iCloud icon. On the phone, go to Settings and click the iCloud item.
