Can I move a ssd form early 2015 to late 2013 13" MacBook pro

I spilled water on my 13" early 2015 MacBook pro and it is dead. I pulled out the 256 SSD and tested it...still functioning! I have a late 2013 model 13" MacBook pro that has a 128 SSD. Can I pull out the 128 and plug the 256 into it? Would that work? It seems like the late 2013-2015 use the same SSD if I order one for an upgrade...would this work?

Thanks

Not directly. You will need to first clone your 128 GB drive onto the 256 GB by placing the latter into a drive caddy that you would directly attach to your MacBook Pro. Once cloned, you would test the drive by booting from the clone to make sure that you can boot your notebook to the macOS Desktop. Once verified that you can, you can then physically remove the 128 GB and replace it with the 256 GB drive.
