I have recently gotten an iPhone 6 from my dad, (it’s his old phone) and i factory reset it an everything back to normal and I’m having problems with getting imessage to activate and my number isn’t showing on ’My Number’ in Phone in settings. Can somebody help? (yes I have a sim inserted and everything) I want my number to be shown so I can use it for iMessage.

What does this mean exactly? At a minimum, you should have done Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings and then "moved in" to your iPhone using your unique Apple ID (not your dad's).

After doing the above, you should have no trouble, but if you do:
Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support
That part is kind of irrelavant, I did all the correct steps to reset and started the phone again from the scratch. I signed in with my Apple ID that I use on my iPad and got it working, now I’m having trouble activating iMessage, thanks for the help
