How do I listen to my old CDs when Apple has changed it's mind on Licensing?

How do I listen to music in iTunes that was originally imported from CD by an older version of iTunes... I used to be able to listen to it in iTunes and now I can't. I can still see it in the directory. I get that it's a licencing thing but I don't have the CD's anymore... is there any other way I can still listen to them?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.2.6, Windows 10 Pro

Not sure what you re talking about with the licensing comment.

Nothing has changed in regards to cds you imported. I have songs I imported from CD qo years go or more and they play just fine.

What have you tried? Close iTunes and start again?

What error message, if any, do you get if you try to play one of these older tracks that you are talking about? Do you mean that they are showing in the file system, but not in your library?
