if i have my apple id in itunes but the phone is locked to a different account what could i do
Need to unlock iCloud lock
If that account is yours, log into it as normal and remove the lock.
If that account is someone else's, you need to either contact that person or take the iPhone and its original purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.
